Questions You're Too Embarrassed to Ask Your Waxer
Let's just get this out of the way.
If you've ever laid awake wondering:
"What if I fart?"
"What if I'm on my period?"
"What if I haven't shaved in forever?"
"What if she judges me?"
You're not alone.
And I promise—you are thinking about these things way more than your waxer is.
Let's answer some of the most common questions clients are too embarrassed to ask.
"Do I need to clean up before my appointment?"
Just shower like you normally would.
That's it.
You do not need to trim perfectly, scrub aggressively, or apologize for your body when you walk in the door.
I promise I've seen it all.
"What if I haven't shaved in months?"
Honestly? Totally fine.
In fact, I would rather have enough hair to wax than hair that's too short.
Please don't stress about it.
"Can I get waxed on my period?"
Yes.
Just wear a tampon or menstrual cup and let me know if you're feeling a little more sensitive than usual.
It's much more common than you think.
"What if I fart?"
I know.
I KNOW.
This is the question everybody wants to ask.
Listen—your body does normal body things.
You're nervous, you're in weird positions, and sometimes embarrassing things happen.
I'm not keeping score.
We're both moving on with our lives.
"What if I'm bigger?"
Then you're bigger.
That's literally it.
You do not need to lose weight before booking a wax.
You do not need to look a certain way.
You do not need to apologize for your body.
Your body is welcome exactly as it is.
"What if I'm nervous?"
Almost every first-time client is.
And honestly? I expect it.
That's why I explain everything, check in throughout the appointment, and do my best to make the experience feel as comfortable as possible.
No question is weird.
No concern is embarrassing.
Here's the truth:
I am not judging you.
I'm not judging your body.
I'm not judging your hair growth.
I'm not judging your stretch marks.
I'm not judging how long it's been.
I just want you to feel comfortable and leave feeling confident.
That's it.
